From a small workshop to an industrial powerhouse.
Vari Steels is a Madurai-based company among established furniture manufacturers Tamil Nadu, built through steady growth and hands-on experience. Our founder came from Tuticorin with no background in the trade, joined a steel almirah manufacturing unit as a worker, and spent nearly a decade learning production, materials, and sales.
In 1982, he started his first venture, Gukan Industries, in Madurai with three employees. He handled sales directly, loading steel almirah (bero) and cot models into an auto and supplying shops across Madurai and nearby cities. This field-level distribution built early dealer relationships.
In 1995, he partnered with his brothers to form Parasakthi Industries in Villapuram, Madurai, focused on large-scale production of steel almirahs and cots. Over time, the business expanded capacity and improved process consistency.
In 2020, he established Kalishwari Steel Works in a 10,000 sqft facility in Avaniyapuram, Madurai. In 2022, the company was restructured as Vari Steels, becoming a sole proprietorship. Today, we operate as steel almirah manufacturers Madurai, supplying steel almirahs Tamil Nadu and executing institutional and government orders, along with steel cot manufacturers Tamil Nadu.
In 2023, we expanded into engineered wood, adding a 10,000 sqft unit for particle board cupboards Madurai and MDF products. As cupboard manufacturers Madurai, we produce wardrobes, computer tables, and dressing tables with consistent specifications, including particle board அலமாரா மதுரை for local demand.
Alongside this, our 6,000 sqft timber division focuses on solid wood products. We are also recognized as wooden cot manufacturers Madurai, offering durable designs such as teak wood cot Madurai using seasoned wood like teak and Vengai.
Today, Vari Steels serves both retail and institutional markets as furniture wholesalers Tamil Nadu and furniture suppliers for retailers Tamil Nadu, combining steel, engineered wood, and timber manufacturing under one integrated operation in Avaniyapuram.
